About the Event
Purdue Extension will be offering the ServSafe Food Manager 8 Hour Class and Exam on August 4, 2021.
Please note this class is only available for residents of Orange County, IN. The class will be offered in Orange County at the First Presbyterian Church of Paoli. The Lost River Coop will be covering the costs of this training.
Please arrive between 8:00 - 8:15 AM for registration. The class will being promptly at 8:30 AM EST. Be sure to bring a valid form of ID and your registration verification. Masks are required for entry.
ServSafe is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program accredited by the National Restaurant Association and the Conference for Food Protection. The program was developed to educate food service workers about food safety. ServSafe Food Protection Manager is the highest certification awarded by ServSafe.
The manager training focuses on five aspects of food service that can affect the safety of food: • Foodborne Microorganisms and Allergens • Personal Hygiene • Purchasing, Receiving, and Storage • Preparation, Cooking and Serving • Facilities, cleaning/ Sanitation and Pest Management
The certificate is earned by passing the ServSafe Manager exam with a 75% and the certification is valid for five years.
Refund and Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 12% registration fee + $5 processing fee. Manuals are non-refundable. NO REFUNDS will be processed after the June 2, 2021.
Registrations approved after the deadline will include a $20 late fee. Any registration fees with a purchase of a manual and answer sheet (online or paper) will be reduced $85 plus the 12% registration fee and the $5.00 processing fee. Manuals will not be shipped until payment is received. Manuals are generally shipped within 48 hours of registration/receipt of payment. Delivery times may vary.
Transfer Policy: If a registrant needs to transfer his/her registration to a different date, contact the Purdue Extension - Education Store -- firstname.lastname@example.org -- at least 5 business days prior to the scheduled event. The registrant will incur a 12% transfer fee plus $5.00 processing fee. Any transfer requests made after the original class/exam date must be scheduled within 5 business days after the original class/exam date. No refunds or transfers will be issued after this 5-day period.
No-Show Policy: If a registrant does not show up to the training/exam, The Education Store must be notified within 5 business days after the training/exam date. If the registrant does not reschedule and transfer to another training session/exam date within those 5 business days, the registration will be forfeited, and no refund of any type will be given. Transferring sessions will be allowed only once. Contact the Education Store to complete the transfer. The registrant will incur a 12% registration fee plus $5.00 processing fee.
